Mirror shows a twisted illusion of oneself. One has an own attitude towards own reflection and reflectors. They prove what the eyes see, serve as tools, show fragments of our personality and help to watch oneself and the surroundings from a different point of view. That is why it is also quite a grim way for exploring things. Sometimes your mind is more graceful and beautiful.

The work was inspired of Narkissos who fell in love with himself when he saw how beautiful he was.

The material is black hard Kivijärvi stone which is a bit softer stone material than granite. Polished by water, the surface became shiny, and with a good light one can see himself/herself. I still prefer using water upon it. The shape is a little concave, so the water stays still on it.
